Hi there! I’m Aislinn, and if you’ve found your way here, it’s likely because you’re navigating the beautiful chaos of raising little humans. Whether you're a parent-to-be, first-time parent, managing the whirlwind of multiple kids, or raising a grandchild or adopted child, parenting can leave you feeling overwhelmed, confused, or just plain tired. Trust me—I get it. Parenting is messy. Some days, you feel on top of the world, like you’ve got this. Other days, you wonder if anyone has cheat codes for this whole parenting thing. (Spoiler: they don’t.)
Why do you do this work?
The truth is, I didn’t always know I wanted to do this work. I was once a child who didn’t have the words to express what I was feeling. I know what it’s like as a child to feel insecure, anxious, and uncertain about the world.
It wasn’t until my late 20s when I discovered infant and early childhood mental health that I began to make sense of my own experience and start to heal. That’s what inspired me to become a counselor and dedicate my life to helping others do the same.
As a caregiver, I know what it feels like to be at the end of your rope, the mental anguish you can experience laboring over questions about what may be best for the child you love, and anxiety of the nagging "what-ifs."
Who am I?
I’m a licensed professional counselor and the founder of A Million Little Wonders LLC.
Specialties:
Perinatal Mental Health, Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health, Child & Family Play Therapy, CPP, PCIT, Therapy for Parents, and Parenting Groups such as Triple P Parenting.
My mission is simple:
To help children, parents, and families find connection, growth, and healing. I believe this happens through small but significant moments that occur every day.
Now, you might be thinking: “Do I really need help?”
And the answer is, probably. (We all do!) Whether you're trying to handle your toddler’s meltdown over a mismatched sock, navigating the emotional complexity of becoming a parent, or holding it together through a tough phase, I see you. I understand the courage and vulnerability it takes to seek help.
What do you value?
I believe in the magic of play and the power of connection. Not the “everything’s perfect” kind of connection (because, let’s face it, that doesn’t exist). Rather the kind of connection that builds resilience and trust—the quiet "a-ha" moments that come when we feel seen and heard. It’s the kind that reminds us all that we’re doing the best we can, even when it doesn’t feel like it and it’s the kind that’s about getting curious and being intentional.
What excites you?
I’ve had the privilege of supporting families through some of the most rewarding and challenging moments of their lives. What truly drives me is understanding that early childhood and perinatal mental health are foundational to everything that comes after. When we nurture the emotional health of both parents and children, it creates a ripple effect that can change lives—not just in the moment, but for years to come. It doesn’t just benefit one child or family; it can make an entire community stronger.
What’s your training & experience?
MA in Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University,
Over a decade of experience
Advanced specialized training in:
Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP),
Perinatal Mental Health (PSI),
Infant/Family Clinical Practice (The Harris Institute),
Sand Tray Therapy;
Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT),
Triple-P Parenting, and
Clinical Trauma Training (Arizona Trauma Institute).
What to expect?
Former clients often describe my style as relaxed, collaborative, and yes—playful and humorous! (I firmly believe laughter and delight are a part of the healing process.) With children, I use a child-directed approach to play therapy. This means the child takes the lead, with structured activities sprinkled in as needed. I won’t promise instant fixes (if only it were that easy!), but I will promise my full support and a pathway forward.
The work we do together will be grounded in:
neuroscience,
attachment theory,
trauma-focused care,
and child development,
with a special focus on the relationship between caregivers and children.
But don’t worry—I won’t bore you with too much jargon. This is about you: meeting you where you’re at, understanding your family’s unique needs, and creating a safe, judgment-free, inclusive space to learn, grow, and be challenged.
