MOTHER’S- & FATHER’S-TO-BE
-
Whether you’re a mother-to-be or father-to-be, pregnancy and the postpartum period is often portrayed as joyful times, but for many individuals these experiences are deeply emotional and transformative. You’re navigating a whirlwind of emotions - from anticipation and excitement to feelings of inadequacy and fear. If you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, feelings of isolation, overwhelming societal pressure, or identity loss - you do not need hide or to struggle in silence. You’re not alone. At A Million Little Wonders LLC, we recognize and address mental health needs with urgency and compassion.
BABIES, TODDLERS, & CHILDREN (BIRTH - 9 YEARS OLD)
-
As a parent or caregiver, it’s tough to see your little one struggling - with issues such as sleep, feeding, developmental delays, ADHD, sensory processing, anxiety, stress, trauma, or emotional regulation. Early childhood is a time of tremendous growth, and your young child’s mental health matters deeply. We specialize in working with babies, young children, and their family’s to nurture healthy, happy minds and strong caregiver-child relationships.
Through play, little one’s can explore their emotions, work through difficult experiences, and develop important social emotional skills — in a way that feels natural, fun, and engaging. Caregiver’s can consciously explore new ways of attuning to and relating with their little ones that promote trust, continuity, reciprocity, and pleasure.
In therapy, we build resilience — that powerful ability to bounce back, to face difficulties head-on, and to grow stronger through them. It’s not about avoiding hard times, but about giving little one’s and their families the tools to handle whatever comes their way with confidence, hope, and a sense of inner strength. By focusing on the relationship between therapist, child, and family, we ensure that your child feels understood, supported, and empowered every step of the way.
PARENTS & CAREGIVERS
-
Parenting is one of the most rewarding, yet challenging, roles we can have. No one hands us a manual, and we’re often left figuring it out as we go. It’s not about being perfect—it’s about being intentional. Small shifts in your approach can create big changes in your child’s behavior, emotional well-being, and your relationship with them. But what often goes unspoken is how it also brings up our own history — the way we were parented.
Suddenly, we’re confronted with memories, lessons, and emotions tied to our own childhood. We might find ourselves repeating patterns, both positive and negative, without even realizing it. In therapy we don’t only provide you tools and support to feel confident and empowered as a parent. We also explore how our past shapes the way we parent and how understanding this connection can help us break cycles, heal old wounds, and create healthier relationships with our children.
Parenthood isn’t just about nurturing the next generation — it’s also an opportunity to heal and grow ourselves. By becoming more aware of how our upbringing influences our parenting, we can make more conscious choices and be the kind of parents we truly want to be.
